कैसे पहचाने :- 

   Past Perfect Continuous Tense की क्रिया से बीते हुए समय में कार्य जारी रहने का बोध होता है | इस tense के वाक्यों में कार्य जारी रहने का समय दिया होता है | इस tense के हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैं जैसे --

Present Simple

Recognition:-

    The action of Past Perfect Continuous Tense gives a sense of continuing the work in the past. In the sentences of this tense, the time to continue the work is given. 

निश्चित समय (point of time) दिखाने के लिए since का use करते हैं जैसे -- since 12  o'clock, since Tuesday, since morning, since1990, etc. 

समय की अवधि (period of time) दर्शाने के लिये for का use करते हैं जैसे -- for three years, for five days, for one month, for five hours, etc.

"Since" is used to show the point of time e.g. since 12 o'clock, since Tuesday, since morning, since1990, etc.

"For" is used to show the period of time such as -- for three years, for five days, for one month, for five hours, etc.

नियम : जहाँ संख्या के बाद दिन वर्ष घंटा महीना सप्ताह आता है वहां for लगता है। और शेष के साथ में since.

Affirmative Sentences for Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Subject + had + been + verb (1st form) + ing + object + since / for + वाक्य में दिया हुआ समय

Subject + had + been + verb (1st form) + ing + object + since / for + time given in a sentence

उपर्युक्त Formula में...   

1. सबसे पहले Subject लिखें।

2. इसके बाद had लिखें।

नोट: यदिHe, she, it और एकवचन कर्ता (Singular Subject) हो। अथवा I, We, You, They और बहुवचन कर्ता (Plural Subject) हो। दोनों के ही साथ had का प्रयोग करते है। 

3. इसके बाद been लिखें।

4. इसके बाद verb की first form में ing जोड़कर लिखें।

5. इसके बाद कर्म (Object) लिखें।

6. इसके बाद since या  for  में से किसी एक का प्रयोग करें। और वाक्य में दिए हुए समय की अंग्रेजी लिखें। 

7. इसके बाद अगर Sentence में अगर कोई और शब्द दिया हो तो उसकी English लिखें।।

हम 3  साल से दिल्ली में रह रहे थे। 

We had been living in Mumbai  for 3  years.

वे मुझको सुबह से धमकी दे रहे थे। 

They had been threatening me since morning.

मैं  वहाँ  चार  वर्षो  से  रह  रहा  था .

I  had been living there for four years.

वे पिछले 3  हफ्ते से आपकी प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। 

They had been waiting you for the last 3  week.

 

वह 3:00 बजे से मीटिंग के लिए स्कूल जा रहा था।

He had been going to school since 3:00 o'clock for a meeting.

प्रिया  पिछले दिनों से बीमार हो रही थी। 

Priya had been getting ill for the last few days.

हम लोग  सुबह  से  टहल  रहे  थे .

We had been walking since morning.

मैं 7  दिन से अपना काम कर  रहा था।

I had been doing my work for 7  days.

प्रिया  पिछले साल से रोज स्कूल जा रही थी।

Priya had been going to school every day since last year.

Present Perfect

वह सुबह से अपना पाठ याद कर रही थी।

She had been learning her lesson since morning.

तुम  दो  वर्षो  से  फ्रेंच  सीख  रहे  थे .

You had been learning  French for two years.

हम 4 साल से गेंद खेल रहे थे।

We had been playing football for four years.

तुम 2009  से इस स्कूल में पढ़ रहे थे। 

You had been studying in this school since 2009 .

Negative Sentences for Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Rule: Past Perfect Continuous Tense में Negative Sentence की Hindi से English बनाते समय निम्नलिखत Rule (Formula) का उपयोग करते हैं।

Subject + had + not + been + verb (1st form) + ing + object + since / for + वाक्य में दिया हुआ समय

Subject + had + not + been + verb (1st form) + ing + object + since / for + time given in sentence

पास्ट परफेक्ट कंटीन्यूअस टेंस के नकारात्मक हिंदी वाक्य के "नहीं" शब्द के लिए not का प्रयोग करते हैं। जिसे had के तुरंत बाद और been के पहले लगते हैं। शेष नियम Past Perfect Continuous Tense के Affirmative Sentence की तरह हैं।

Examples-

वह रात 8  बजे से टीवी देख नहीं रहा था।

 He had not been watching TV since 8  o’clock at night.

मैं 1  घंटे से पढ़ाई नहीं कर रहा था।

I had not been studying for 1 hour.

वह पिछले रविवार  से नहीं जा रहा था।

He had not been going since last Sunday.

प्रिया  3 बजे से खाना नहीं पका रही थी।

Priya had not been cooking the food since 3 o’clock.

मैं सुबह से किताब नहीं पढ रहा था।

I had not been reading the book since morning.

बच्चे 4 बजे से नदी में नहीं तैर रहे थे।

Children had not been swimming in the river since 4 o’clock.

प्रिया  वहाँ 12  साल से रह नहीं रही थी।

Priya had not been living there for 12  years.

बारिश काफी लम्बे समय से लगातार गिरती नहीं आ रही है।

The rain had not been falling continuously for a long time.

तुम सुबह 11  बजे से खेल नहीं रहे थे।

You had not been playing since 11 o’clock morning.

हम कल से नहीं जा रहे थे।

We had not been going since yesterday.

वे पिछले साल से नहीं खेल रहे थे।

They had not been playing since last year.

तुम कल से नहीं सो रहे थे।

You had not been sleeping since yesterday.

Had been + Subject + Verb (First Form + ing) + Object + since / for + Time

क्या मैं  6  वर्षों से किताब नहीं पढ रही हूँ।

Had I not been reading a book for 6  years.

क्या बच्चे शाम से नदी में नहीं तैर रहे थे।

Had the children not been swimming in the river since evening.

क्या हम 2 दिन से नहीं जा रहे है।

Had we not been going for 2 days?

क्या वे अगस्त से नहीं खेल रहे थे

Had they not been playing since August?

क्या तुम सुबह से नहीं सो रहे हो

Had you not been sleeping since Morning?

क्या प्रिया वहाँ 25 साल से रह नहीं रही थी ?
