Past Continuous Tense
काल की पहचान :
भूतकाल में किसी समय में कोई क्रिया जारी थी यह दर्शाने के लिए निरंतर या अपूर्ण भूतकाल का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Continuous or incomplete past tense is used to indicate that an action was going on at some time in the past.
वाक्य की पहचान :
निरंतर या अपूर्ण भूतकाल के वाक्यों के शब्द के अंत में क्रिया के अंत में रहा, रही, रहे और उसके बाद था, थी, थे अक्षर का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
A. सकारात्मक वाक्य ( Affirmative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
कर्ता [ Subject ] + was / were + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + ing + Object.
Sub + was/we're + v with ing + object
NOTE
यहाँ पर Singular subject के साथ “was” और Plural subject के साथ “were” का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
उदाहरण
1. मैं मार्केट जा रहा था।
1. I was going to market.
2. तुम पुस्तक पढ़ रहे थे।
2. You were reading the book.
3. पूनम आम खा रही थी।
3. Punam was eating mango.
4. वे काम कर रहे थे।
4. They were working.
5. वह आ रहा था।
5. He was coming.
B. नकारात्मक वाक्य ( Negative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
कर्ता [ Subject ] + was / were + not + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + ing + Object.
Sub + was/were + not + v with ing + object
उदाहरण
1. मैं मार्केट नहीं जा रहा था।
1. I was not going to market.
2. तुम पुस्तक नहीं पढ़ रहे थे।
2. You were not reading the book.
3. पूनम आम नहीं खा रही थी।
3. Punam was not eating mango.
4. वे काम नहीं कर रहे थे।
4. They were not working.
5. वह नहीं आ रहा था।
5. He was not coming.
C. प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य ( Interrogative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
was / were + कर्ता [ Subject ] + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + ing + Object + ?
Was/we're + sub + v with ing + object + ?

D. नकारात्मक प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य ( Negative Interrogative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
was / were + कर्ता [ Subject ] + not + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + ing + Object + ?
Was/ we're + sub + not + v wit ing + object + ?
