Simple Past Tense
भूतकाल ( Past Tense ) भूतकाल में मुख्य रूप से चार उप प्रकार हैं, जो कि निम्नलिखित है
1) Simple Past Tense
2) Past Continuous Tense
3) Past Perfect Tense
4) Past Perfect Continuous Tense
1. सामान्य भूतकाल ( Simple Past Tense )
काल की पहचान :
भूतकाल में किसी निश्चित समय पर कोई क्रिया हुई या हाल ही में कोई घटना घटी यह बताने के लिए सामान्य भूतकाल का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Past tense is used to indicate that an action occurred at a certain time in the past or that a recent event occurred.
वाक्य की पहचान :
सामान्य भूतकाल के वाक्यों के शब्द के अंत में या, यी, ये शब्द अथवा आ, ई, ए अक्षर का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
A. सकारात्मक वाक्य ( Affirmative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
कर्ता [ Subject ] + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 2nd Form + Object.
Sub + 2nd verb form + obj
NOTE
यहाँ पर Singular subject और Plural subject के साथ क्रिया [ Verb ] में 2nd Form लगाते हैं।
उदाहरण
1. रहीम आया।
1. Raheem came.
2. सूर्य निकला।
2. The sun rose.
3. पूनम ने मेरे से पूछा।
3. Punam asked me.
4. भगवान ने मुझे बचाया।
4. God saved me.
5. हम बाजार गए।
5. We went to the market.
B. नकारात्मक वाक्य ( Negative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
कर्ता [ Subject ] + did not या didn’t + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + Object.
Sub + did not or didn't + 1st verb form + object
NOTE
यहाँ पर Singular subject के साथ “did not” और Plural subject के साथ भी “did not” क्रिया [ Verb ] में 1st Form लगाते हैं।

1. हीम नहीं आया।
1. Raheem did not come.
2. सूर्य नहीं निकला।
2. The sun did not rise.
3. पूनम ने मेरे से नहीं पूछा।
3. Punam did not ask me.
4. भगवान ने मुझे नहीं बचाया।
4. God did not save me.
5. हम बाजार नहीं गए।
5. We did not go to the market.
C. प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य ( Interrogative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
Did + कर्ता [ Subject ] + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + Object + ?
Did + sub + 1st verb form + obj + ?

3. क्या पूनम ने मेरे से पूछा ?

D. नकारात्मक प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य ( Negative Interrogative Sentence )
वाक्य की रचना :
Did + कर्ता [ Subject ] + not + क्रिया [ Verb ] का 1st Form + Object + ?
Did + sub + not + 1st verb form + object?
